Recently, we have seen lots of malware or adware in the form of Google Chrome extension is making its way to the Chrome web store. Recently, Google raised the level of security and added new features in Windows that will alert users in case of any suspicious behavior. According to the reports from TheVerge, Google in collaboration with security firm ESET added some security feature in Chrome browser. You can say Google added some antivirus feature in its browser. Google Chrome will now warn users if any extension tries to modify the basic default settings like default search engine. Not only these, Chrome also got a new cleanup tool. The revamped cleanup tool removes harmful software with a press of a button.
Well, Chromes new redesigned cleanup tool will only remove extensions that violate Google’s unwanted software policy. So, its necessary that you’ve got some regular antivirus software on your Windows system.
