Beginning Battles in Xenoblade Chronicles 3
With a variety of enemies present in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, having the power to decide when to engage can be very important. Once you are ready, target an enemy with either L or R, then approach carefully. Once you are within distance, press the A button to unsheathe your weapon, and the battle begins either when you land the first attack or are spotted by your foes. Depending on the enemy types, certain ones are more aggressive and will pursue you, while others will not fight unless approached or attacked first. Pick your battles wisely, and you will have a much easier time in the war.
Striking First For an Advantage
Although there is no bonus damage for getting a hit in first, it does allow you to get a jumpstart in hurting your opponents. Moreover, you can consider using an Art that puts the enemy into the Break state. This makes it easier for an early Burst or Smash combo, which gives you more of an advantage. Now that you know exactly how to begin battles in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the time to gather more knowledge is now.
